Bethesda Film Fest To Showcase Six Diverse Documentary Shorts

The 10th annual Bethesda Film Fest will feature six short documentaries made by local filmmakers at three screenings scheduled for Friday, April 29th (7pm) and Saturday, April 30th (6pm and 8:30pm) at Imagination Stage, 4908 Auburn Ave. in downtown Bethesda. The Bethesda Film Fest is supported by Bruce and Leslie Lane, and organized and managed by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District.

The films selected for the screening include:

  • 1km a Pied, film by Rachel Menyuk of Silver Spring, MD
  • La Manplesa, film by Ellie Walton of Mt. Ranier, MD
  • My Brother is Deaf, film by Peter Kimball of Bethesda, MD
  • Resurgence, film Kristen Adair of Washington, D.C.
  • Time & Temperature, film by Justin Foreman, Baltimore, MD
  • The Hill We Climb, film by Wide Angle Media, Baltimore, MD

All films are shown at each screening and will include a discussion with the filmmakers after the screenings. Tickets are available at www.bethesda.org for $12. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

Films were chosen by the Bethesda Film Fest selection panel, consisting of CJ Crimm, Independent Filmmaker; Michael Anthony, Creative Director at Pure Flow Productions, and Nina Seavey, Award-winning filmmaker and Founding Director of The Documentary Center in the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University from 1990-2020.
