Bethesda Outdoor Movies: Stars on the Avenue
The Bethesda Urban Partnership will present the 17th annual, Bethesda Outdoor Movies: Stars on the Avenue from July 28-30, 2022. Enjoy three evenings of major motion pictures that will feed your cinematic soul. Various genres will be showcased, including classics, musicals, drama, and comedy films.
The Shops at Wisconsin Place is hosting a weekly concert series every Thursday night from 5pm-7pm. Enjoy shopping, dining, and music while you stroll around the outdoor plaza. Featured artists include: Jason Reed Duo (of Superunknown), Rockville Strings, Bumper Jackson, Kirsten Salpini, The Original Moonlighters, and The Magical Mystery Girls.
North Bethesda
Bring your favorite goodies and join us each week for free Live from the Lawn concerts. While this series has always been family-friendly, Strathmore has added a new 3-concert companion series just for kids this summer. From bilingual Americana folk to jazz and hip-hop fusion, these kid’s performances promise to offer soul-stirring tunes for people of all ages while creating fun ways for younger audiences to interact with the music.

Gaithersburg’s popular Children’s Summer Concert Series returns to the City Hall Concert Pavilion on a new day of the week. Join us on Wednesdays in June and July from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Parents and children alike will enjoy the variety of free performances.
Rio Washingtonian Center Lakefront Live
Dine al fresco and take in the sounds of summer with your favorite local bands LIVE on the Boardwalk Stage (near Guapo’s), Fridays from 6-9pm through September. Grab a refreshing adult beverage & light bites from the Beer Garden Tent!
Enjoy family-friendly movies in Gaithersburg all summer long. Screenings take place indoors and outdoors at Arts Barn, Casey Community Center, Kentlands Mansion, Observatory Park & Robertson Park Youth Center. Light concessions for purchase will be available at most screenings.

Rockville Town Square First Fridays
First Fridays is a monthly concert series taking place on the first Friday of every month. Shop the collection of locally owned boutiques, enjoy restaurant drink specials and happy hour features and explore VisArts Open Gallery and sign-up for future classes. Dance to live music in the town square.
Montgomery College Monday Night Film Series
The Monday Night Film Series has seen a tremendous growth in popularity since Parilla Performing Arts Center first introduced it in the 2011 – 2012 season. Over the ensuing years, we have screened over a hundred of the best arthouse films ever made, by some of the most famous directors from around the globe. We are pleased to present these masterpieces, free and open to the public, for both film buffs and newcomers to the genre alike!
Get outside this summer and get into Rockville’s free outdoor movies in the parks on the big screen. Bring chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic beverages, and enjoy four different movies at four different neighborhood parks throughout the city. Movies begin at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.) and are free.
