MCYO is metro region’s premier youth orchestra program and has been for 64 years! Over 400 young talented musicians ranging from grades 4-12 comprise 5 distinct high caliber orchestras. After an annual August audition process, selected students rehearse weekly at the Music Center and present 3 public concerts per season in the concert hall. Additional concerts at Kennedy Center and other community venues occur also. Students may participate in a Chamber Music program to develop small-ensemble skills.
