March 19, 2021 (Bethesda, MD) – Gallery B welcomes artist Anna Soevik in April 2021 for her solo exhibit, “People with Something to Say.” Anna will showcase her artwork at Gallery B, located at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E, Bethesda, MD, from March 31 – April 24, 2021. Gallery hours will be Wednesday – Saturday, 12:30-4:30pm.

Bethesda-based artist Anna Soevik, originally from the UK, graduated from Norwich Art School and received a degree in Fine Art from Ravensbourne College of Art in London. Before moving to Bethesda in 2000, Anna showed her oil paintings and sculptures extensively throughout Europe, including at galleries in Copenhagen, Paris and Brussels. She was a member of the “Pulchri Studio” in Holland and won “The Grand Prize” at the Brussels Art Show for her paintings and functional sculptures. Evolving her work in recent years, Anna now uses a combination of conventional oil on canvas and digital techniques. Her current work includes portraits of people who stand out, for good or bad. And her recent “personal assistant” sculptures are artistic reminders that someone is always watching and listening. In addition to her paintings and sculptures, Anna has also created many murals. Her murals, which can be found in Busboys and Poets locations and other public spaces around Washington, D.C., include her signature semi-abstract-colored blobs and symbols, tied together with swooping lines to tell a story.
