Chilkoot Totem Pole

Painted totem pole with beaver and raven motifs. Paint is mostly red, brown and blue. The raven sits on the top of the pole while the beaver is at the base. In the central area there are no animals, only carved designs that are painted in white. The wood portion of the pole is only the front half, the back of the piece is concrete that is shaped to finish off the rounded front of the piece. A plastic sleeve on the front of the base presumably used to hold information on the piece but is now empty.
