I feel so blessed to be part of this talented group and more so to be singing with and directed by Rachel Carlson
I am the youngest member in the group, Kevin (22) and have been with the group for approximately two years now.
Being and undergrad student at the University of Maryland, studying voice, piano, and organ music (hopefully), the group has helped me immensely in terms of sight reading

Being and undergrad student at the University of Maryland, studying voice, piano, and organ music (hopefully), the group has helped me immensely in terms of sight reading and my vocal skills in it's entirity... Now I am auditioning for choirs, such as the Washington National Cathedral's, and also singing and performing with other professional ensembles, such as DC Strings, Washington Opera Society, St Phillips Ensemble, City Choir of Washington, Rennaisance Singers of Annapolis etc.
I must admit that I owe all of this to Rachel Carlson, and feel blessed to have met her the following year since the day I first set foot on U.S. soil in 2015 (July)
It was a January (2016) audition, and I still remember like it was yesterday. I had car troubles and consequently took the subway to attend the audition at her house.
I was thrilled by the positive first impression which Rachel exhibited and still remember the look on her face, when I told her I was and 19 year old organist. It was a successful audition and she instantly admitted that they loved me and wanted me to form part of their group.
My life since that day is a testimony and I feel blessed to have met Rachel Carlson. Hundred Percent Love for you Ray!!!
Sincerely,
Kevin Paton-Cole
Lol... Not to boast, but I think I have the lowest voice in the group as the youngest singer (Sining Bass 3)
It’s hard to beat Carole King as a cousin, but family history states that Rachel’s paternal great great grandmother had a beautiful singing voice.
