Paul Carr’s Jazz Academy of Washington is a renowned institution dedicated to nurturing and honing the talents of aspiring young musicians from ages 8 to 18. In a supportive, inclusive, and youth-centered environment, Dance Exchange introduces young people to creative dance and movement basics. Youth build collaboration and leadership skills as they explore the process of making and performing dances.
Age Group
● Elementary (Prek – 5)
● Middle School (6 – 8)
Classes/Lessons/Workshops
● Youth Exchange: Weekly class for young movers (ages 8-12 or grades 2-7), including collaborative dance-making, improvisation, and performance. Fall session begins Sept. 11.
● Takoma Park MOVES: Another great opportunity for youth, this Saturday class welcomes all ages and abilities. Families welcome. $5/participant.
