Located in the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library (Silver Spring Library), the AOB Studio is a light filled youth-driven space that embraces diversity, catalyzes creativity, and elevates holistic social inclusion in the heart of the Arts & Entertainment District.
Our working art studio, is located on the ground floor, where we can be easily found by our neighbors and communities. Red Line access is a few short blocks away and Metro and RideOn buses stop at Fenton and Wayne for easy transit and social access. Walking into the studio, the energy is vibrant and the open space feels inviting and full of light and color. In spite of the areas designated for work with specific tools (for example, a grinding room for shaping vitreous glass tiles) the studio buzzes with the sounds of creating and purpose.
The Arts on the Block Studio is a multi purpose place for community, for creativity, and for connecting.
