The Creative Crafts Council (CCC) is an umbrella organization of twelve fine craft guilds in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia that has sponsored a juried biennial exhibition since 1954. The Creative Crafts Council 34th Biennial Exhibition will present some of the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia region's top work in ceramics, enamel, fiber, glass, metal, mixed media, wood, book arts, and more at The Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD from May 9 through July 29, 2023. Jurors accept pieces into the Exhibition by category and ensure balance and diversity across the Exhibition. The categories are jewelry (all media categories) and non-jewelry entries by media categories of book arts, ceramics, enamel, fiber, glass, metal, mixed media, and wood. Awards are given by the CCC and sponsoring guilds. All artists living, working and/or attending college in Virginia, Maryland, or DC or who are members of sponsoring guilds may apply. All work must be for sale. Artists may submit as many as 4 pieces total; the media of the 4 pieces may vary.  All work must have been produced after January 1, 2019 and not previously exhibited at a CCC Exhibition.
