Join FOLMC for the October 16th Literary Luncheon held at the Strathmore Mansion in North Bethesda. The luncheon features an author talk and book signing, followed by a catered lunch. A limited number of books will be available for purchase on-site during the luncheon. Authors John Gilstrap and Grady Smith will discuss their featured works on the theme of War & Literature.
John Gilstrap is a New York Times bestselling author and screenwriter. His nonfiction book Six Minutes to Freedom tells the story of Kurt Muse, the only civilian of record ever rescued by the super-secret Delta Force.
Grady Smith is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel who commanded an infantry company in the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War. His book Blood Chit tells how a small battle in the rice paddies south of Saigon can be one battle too many.
