In one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most popular operettas, Captain Corcoran makes grand plans for his daughter, Josephine, to marry Sir Joseph. But thanks to Sir Joseph’s musings on equality, Josephine make daring plans to elope with Ralph, the lowly sailor that she’s in love with, causing a ruckus when their plans are discovered.
