Nanty Narking Nearly Nine K

A nearly nine K trail run or two mile walk past historic sites in Sandy Spring. Be part of the second annual “Nanty Narking” (a Victorian expression meaning “great fun!”) while you pass Woodlawn Manor, the 19th century Friends Meeting House, the original Sandy Spring, and tread on the Underground Railroad Experience Trail (and five other little-known historic sites!). And you will be entertained by Civil War-era music provided by students from the Bullis School orchestra. A great morning for people who want to know about these hidden historic sites and for those who want to learn more about their community in a fun, active way. Race starts at the Sandy Spring Friends School. Register before April 27 for a race-day t-shirt!
