Grammy-winning pianist-composer Clayton, songstress Wright, and a nine-musician ensemble explore the blues music of the Piedmont tradition in a multimedia project featuring interviews with the oldest living generation of original blues musicians.
Ragtime rhythms, finger picking guitar style, and understated vocals are the hallmarks of the folk music style found in the Piedmont region, the area between the Atlantic Coastal Plain and the Appalachian Mountains from central Georgia to central Virginia. Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
