Drummer and vibraphonist Chuck Redd leads an a-list tribute to his mentor and friend, Charlie Byrd, the American guitarist who brought Brazilian jazz to the US and a critical figure in its international popularity.
Redd shares the stage with world-class saxophonist, Harry Allen, who Stan Getz once described as the “fulfillment of his idea of the perfect tenor saxophone soloist.” Allen has shared the stage and recording studio with Ray Brown, Herb Ellis, Sheryl Crow, and many others. There are 2 available parking garages at AMP, including a new one on Trade Street. Valet parking will also be available for a $5 fee. The Old Georgetown Road Garage, located at 11580 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD 20852, is directly beneath AMP. The best way to enter the garage is by making a right turn directly into the garage from westbound Old Georgetown Road (between Grand Park Avenue and Executive Blvd). Follow the signs to the AMP elevator and go directly to level 4. The new Trade Street Garage is located at 11860 Trade Street, North Bethesda, MD 20852, right across from AMP and adjacent to the Per Sei apartments. Both are very convenient to the venue.
