This romantic Victorian comedy, perfect for Valentine’s Day, pits curmudgeonly cobbler Hobson against his headstrong daughter as he attempts to prevent her marriage to keep her working in his shoe shop forever.
In this hilarious comedy of turn-of-the-century Lancashire manners, curmudgeonly cobbler Henry Hobson faces the ultimate choice: take a life with three daughters and keep them in his shop forever unmarried (and save staff wages and dowry money), or let them wed their sweethearts and leave him all alone (with no business).
