Oscar Wilde once wrote that the secret to life is to appreciate the pleasure of being terribly, terribly deceived. In his one-man show, "Labor of Love" (LOL), Kourosh Taie will take you on a magical journey where comedy, magic, and mentalism collide to create a tour de force of elegant deceptions and spellbinding entertainment. Recommended for ages 15 & up. (Performance will be taped for distribution.)

AHCMC invites artists and creative practitioners of ALL DISCIPLINES to submit their qualifications for a year-long Artist Residency supporting civic dialogue and inspiring change!! Submission deadline: May 22. (Link in Bio)

** MUST live in Montgomery County, Maryland to be eligible! **

🌟 3 Artists-in-Residence will be selected: Mid-County, Up-County and East-County.

🎯 The goal of each year-long project is to support civic dialogue within the artist’s Regional Service Area.

💬 Artists-in-Residence will identify shared concerns, priorities, and focal issues within their community through a series of artistic engagements and community convening.

💫 The work can involve art-making, performances, public art activations, research-based exhibitions, or other endeavors aligned with the artists’ own practices.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
