Activities will feature the park's Civil Rights history. Live blues music; preview clips from the upcoming film, "There Ain't No Back to a Merry Go Round," featuring interviews with protesters from the 1960s advocating for desegregation of the privately owned amusement park.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
