Guided tours of exhibits on Latvian history and culture. Hand-on activities for all ages: learn to play the "kokle," craft a metal necklace using ancient designs, dye eggs using onionskins and more. Latvian handicrafts, music, books and food for sale.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
