The National Philharmonic Chorale under the direction of Stan Engebreston presents a program of music honoring the African American tradition. Composer Rosephayne Powell narrates her first major work, The Cry of Jeremiah, a powerful choral piece blending African American and classical music customs, featuring oprano Aundi Marie Moore and the Howard University Chorale .

Parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage is $5.20 during the week and free on weekends. Strathmore is also accessible via Metro's Red Line, Grosvenor-Strathmore station.
Limited short-term parking also is available at specially marked meters along Tuckerman Lane, which do not require payment after 7pm.
