How does a schoolyard fight between two 11 year old boys devolve into “the worst day” in the lives of four upper middle class adults? When Veronica and Michael Novak and Annette and Alan Raleigh gather in the Novak’s Georgetown, DC home in 2012 to discuss a playground altercation between their sons, both couples are expecting a civilized and brief conversation to resolve the dispute.
