Art Reception

Gaithersburg’s Arts on the Green presents an exhibit of acrylics and pastels featuring the works of Donna Baron, Peggy Dunn and Marlene Sapperstein through October 10, 2014, at Kentlands Mansion. The public is invited to a free Artists Reception on Tuesday, August 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
