Ballet Training for Youth & Pre-Professionals (ages 8-20)

MYB provides exceptional training for beginning, intermediate and advanced students at one of the region’s finest schools of classical ballet. School-year classes are offered for Youth and Pre-Professionals ages (8-20) with emphasis on love of dance, personal enrichment, and pre-professional achievement.

Classes
• Offering a full schedule of in-person classes
• Strict COVID-19 safety protocols in place
• School-year classes for Youth and Pre-Professionals (ages 8-20)
• Separate program for boys & young men
• Full-day conservatory classes for advanced dancers
• Electives and Teen classes in Modern, Jazz, West African, and Flamenco

• The Nutcracker at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center, Rockville
• The Mini-Nut at the Cultural Arts Center, Silver Spring

New Students ages 8 or 9 with little or no ballet experience must request a Beginner Check to determine eligibility; and New Students ages 9+ require an audition. School-Year Auditions are accepted on an ongoing basis as space permits.
