Book Talk: One More War to Fight

Join Peerless Rockville and Author Dr. Stephen A. Goldman for a presentation on his groundbreaking new book, One More War to Fight, about the activism of Union veterans after the Civil War. He tells two intertwined, previously untold stories – how Northern veterans, Black and White, fought a second war seeking equality for all Americans, and in the process created a model of civic commitment based on military service that American citizen soldiers, sailors, and marines have emulated in modern times.

One More War to Fight details how White and Black Northern veterans maintained their dedication to the causes for which they had battled and bled and continued the struggle for freedom and opportunity for all Americans.
