Casting Organics in Glass Workshop

This workshop begins with two small organic objects--they can be fruits or vegetables, or even your own hand. An burnout process produces a mold for one object, and the second mold is made of alginate.  After filling the molds with glass and firing them, students take home two amazingly accurate glass copies of the original objects.
