Decorate a Tree for Wildlife

Deck the halls with edible ornaments!

Spread holiday cheer to even the furriest or smallest of creatures. Head on over to Black Hill Visitor Center to create edible ornaments for the area's feathered and furred friends. Not only will you make some ornaments to hang at the center, you'll make a few to take home! (Note: You will be using nuts and peanut butter.)

AHCMC invites artists and creative practitioners of ALL DISCIPLINES to submit their qualifications for a year-long Artist Residency supporting civic dialogue and inspiring change!! Submission deadline: May 22. (Link in Bio)

** MUST live in Montgomery County, Maryland to be eligible! **

🌟 3 Artists-in-Residence will be selected: Mid-County, Up-County and East-County.

🎯 The goal of each year-long project is to support civic dialogue within the artist’s Regional Service Area.

💬 Artists-in-Residence will identify shared concerns, priorities, and focal issues within their community through a series of artistic engagements and community convening.

💫 The work can involve art-making, performances, public art activations, research-based exhibitions, or other endeavors aligned with the artists’ own practices.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
