First Day Hike at Blockhouse Point

Start the New Year on the right foot with a refreshing hike through Blockhouse Point Conservation Park.

We will follow natural surface trails to a scenic overlook of the Potomac River, where once Union sentries watched from a blockhouse during the Civil War. This socially-distanced hike is approximately 3 miles round-trip and is outdoors only, so dress in plenty of layers and wear good hiking shoes.

Registration required for this outdoors-only program that follows all standards for social distancing. Face coverings required. Please meet at the parking lot on River Road. For ages 16 and up.
