Guy Davis & Eric Bibb: Blues Troubadours

W.C. Handy Award winner Guy Davis and Grammy nominee Eric Bibb join their formidable blues lineages to celebrate and preserve the core of the blues today. Guy Davis, son of actors Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, has dedicated himself and his career to reviving the traditions of acoustic blues and bringing them to as many ears as possible through the material of the great blues masters, African American stories, and his own original songs and performance pieces. Acoustic blues singer-songwriter Eric Bibb brings music steeped in American folk, Blues, African, Celtic, country, Cajun and more to the stage. Each with his own distinctive voice and style, these two blues veterans will perform their own sets, collaborate on several numbers, and come together for a rousing joint finale. This engagement of Guy Davis and Eric Bibb is made possible through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for Arts.
