Heritage Days: Historic St. Paul Community Church

Tour the 1893 church and cemetery; exhibits, artifacts and historical documents. Presentation on Sugarland’s founding families at 12:45pm. First-person interpretation of “Nettie Branison-Johnson,” a turn-of-the-century midwife, at 2pm, followed by a gospel concert. Diabetes and hypertension screening available.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
