Insect Hunt

Go on an insect hunt at Black Hill Nature Programs and Visitor Center throughout the month of September.

Join moth expert and Smithsonian Research Associate, Dr. David Adamski, and Montgomery Parks’ resident insect and reptile expert, Elmore Brown, in the meadow at Black Hill to hunt for insects of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Butterflies, praying mantis, dragonflies, and much more will be on hand for observation and discovery. So come get your bug on and hunt with the best!

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
