John Howie Jr. uses his rich baritone voice to deliver honky-tonk shuffles, classic country, and deep soul ballads. John and both of his bands, the Two Dollar Pistols and the Rosewood Bluff, have shared the stage with big names like the legendary George Jones, Wayne Hancock, Shovels and Rope, Dale Watson and many more. John and the Rosewood Bluff have released two full-length albums. Both albums, 2011’s Leavin’ Yesterday and 2014’s Everything Except Goodbye, were met with critical acclaim and received steady airplay on key programs like Sirius/XM’s Outlaw Country. After more than 20 years of leading bands, John added soloist to his list of achievements with the release of his highly praised solo album, Not Tonight. John’s songs have appeared in hit movies like Jeepers Creepers and Swimming, and in several episodes of successful TV shows like Weeds, Orange Is the New Black, United States of Tara, and Seal Team. John Howie Jr. and the Rosewood Bluff are currently putting the finishing touches on their third LP, Never Enough.
