Artist Marilyn Banner opens her home studio for a 1/3 price art sale.

A day in-person Labor Day Art Sale, September 4 from 1-3 pm. Many of Marilyn Banner's encaustic paintings will be on sale for 1/3 price. Paintings priced as low as $200 will be on the walls and on tables on the front and side porches. View a partial catalog here.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
