Memoir Writing Class Series

Tell Us Your Story – A Creative Writing and Storytelling Program for Older Adults is a free, 9-week class series at Wheaton\\\’s Holiday Park Senior Center on Thursdays from September 21 to November 19 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. The final storytelling event is on Monday, November 13, from 1 to 2 pm. All experience levels are welcome!

You’ll learn to write compelling stories about places you have lived, family, community, occupations, and more. Through creative writing exercises, lectures, discussions, and by reading work aloud, you\\\’ll build skills and confidence in writing and get to know your classmates in a lively, welcoming class. Students who want to see their work in print can contribute their writing to a class magazine.

Your teacher, Laura Sturza, has an MA in Writing/Theatre/Communication. Her stories are in publications including AARP\\\’s The Girlfriend, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Shondaland, and The LA Times. laurasturza.com
