On April 22, visit Brookside Gardens for activities and events focused on protecting and preserving the natural environment. Then, on April 23, stop by downtown Wheaton to learn how you can “green” your home and daily commute.

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) advocates for better representation of women artists and serves as a vital center for thought leadership, community engagement, and social change.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
