Open Mic at the Mansion

Step up and toot your own horn! Sing a song, tell a favorite joke, or recite your poetry at the First Friday Open Mic Night at the Kentlands Mansion. This cabaret setting is perfect for letting loose. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served. Performances are unplugged. All styles of music, poetry, and performance are welcome. OPEN MIC @ The Mansion October 3, 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. $10 Cover per person

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) advocates for better representation of women artists and serves as a vital center for thought leadership, community engagement, and social change.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
