Persian Dance with Nomad Dancers

Nomad Dancers is a collective inspired by traditions of Central Asia, Middle East, India, and Turkey, traveling across borders and bridging cultures in search of the ultimate dance experience. In celebration of the Persian New Year, known as Nowruz, Nomad Dancers will present a short program of dances from Iran and Afghanistan, followed by an opportunity to learn the Qashqai Wedding Dance. The dance is performed by the entire community whenever a marriage takes place.

Workshop led by Adriane Whalen, co-Director of Nomad Dancers. This event will take place at William H. Graham Sr. Actors’ Hall on Olney Theatre Center campus.
