A concert featuring Gustav Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde” and Luciano Berio’s “Folk Songs.”
Inscape Chamber Orchestra performs a concert featuring folksongs from around the world as interpreted by Gustav Mahler and Luciano Berio.
Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde is a symphonic-length work featuring tenor and mezzo-soprano soloists based on Hans Bethge's Die chinesische Flöte, a volume of ancient Chinese poetry rendered into German. Inscape performs the work in a chamber orchestra reduction by Arnold Schoenberg.
