StoryTeller Series: An Evening with Ayanna Gallant, owner of Aya Expressive Arts

Ayanna Gallant, is the owner of Aya Expressive Arts, a music lessons and wellness studio located Clarksburg/Comus, MD offering private and group music lessons for voice, guitar, band instruments, and African Drumming. They also provide sound healing through drum circles, sound meditation (sound baths), recorded guided meditations, and Biofield Tuning.  Ayanna is a certified music educator with over 20 years of experience teaching children 6 months to 4 years in infant/toddler programs and private lessons for all ages, as well as 16 years as a public school music teacher. She is also certified in sound healing facilitation and Biofield Tuning.

Ayanna has a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Arts Integration (2010). She has studied mindfulness science, theory, and practice and is a certified sound therapist for Biofield Tuning. In her 16 years with the public schools, Ayanna taught general music, band, chorus, musical theater, and world percussion ensemble.  She has also performed as a freelance musician on low brass, voice, guitar, and African drums in venues all around the country.
