Student Auditions for August: Osage County

The Highwood Theatre seeks student actors (7 female, 4 male) grades 8-12 for its upcoming production of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, presented in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins University Active Minds Chapter.

The auditions will take place on Wednesday, January 7 from 6:00 – 9:00. Student actors grades 8-12 can reserve a 15-minute audition slot by emailing casting@thehighwoodtheatre.org with a requested audition date and time.

Auditions, callbacks, rehearsals, and performances will take place at The Highwood Theatre – 914 Silver Spring Avenue, Suite 102, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Roles for student stage managers, technicians, and designers are also available.

Rehearsals begin the week of January 12 and will be scheduled based on the actors’ availability on Monday/Wednesday evenings or Saturday afternoons. Actors can expect two rehearsals per week. Five performances March 27 – 29, 2015.

Actors should prepare a 1 minute monologue of their choice and be ready to read from the script. Please note that this play is mature in nature and may not be appropriate for all students.
