The Animal Inside You: Explore and Enjoy creativity with diverse art media. For all skill levels.

The Animal Inside You is a fun and interactive 6-week experience for students to explore blind drawings, collages, sculptures, paintings, and jewelry making, focusing on our wild friends, the animals. This class is taught by teaching artist, Jade Drakes.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
