The Dance Technique of Isadora Duncan

Are you seeking classes to find or re-gain the joy of movement, as well as deepen in a movement practice? Word Dance Theater offers classes taught by Duncan Master Teacher, Cynthia Word. The Duncan technique stresses expressivity, creativity, musicality, and the beauty of the human form. It is a fusion of body, mind, and spirit. In each class we ground ourselves through breath and floor work, build strength in our legs and expressivity through our upper body with the barre work and locomotor motifs,  followed by improvisations and choreographic studies inspired by the philosophy and technique of Isadora Duncan.
