The Purple Sessions with DJ Dredd: A Prince Dance Party

With a full dance party in the BlackBox featuring DJ Dredd whom the Washington Post calls “Washington’s foremost Princeologist,” the space will be heating up with funk, rock, pop, soul, jazz, electronic, and rap to pay tribute to an artist who was as fluid and as captivating as purple rain.

Join DJ Dredd for a night of dancing, singing, and celebrating the life and legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson. Dredd will seamlessly weave the hits, rarities, b-sides, and album cuts by Prince and associated artists of the Minneapolis Sound. The party will also feature a live video mix by O’s Cool.

The Washington Post calls DJ Dredd “Washington’s foremost Princeologist,” stating that no DJ in Washington is more associated with Prince’s music. Dredd is the architect of the long-running Prince dance parties in DC that have spanned almost two decades.
Dredd has performed at private events for Prince, Stevie Wonder, Dave Chappelle, Bill Murray, Berry Gordy (Motown), Boyz II Men, Fab 5 Freddy, LVCVA, NY Toast, Washington Life Magazine, SAG-AFTRA, NatGeo, and Droga5.
