Trio Delights

Musical Arts International will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an opening concert featuring violinist Teri Lazar, violist Osman Kivrakand pianist, Li-Ly Chang , that includes a special performance of the German romantic composer Max Bruch's "8 pieces for violin, viola and piano".  Other pieces are Mozart Piano Trios in Eb major, k.498, Duo for violin and viola in G major, K 423 and Uzun Hava by Osman Kivrak. It was written in a Turkish folk song style. Washington Post commented on it as "Exuberant and lyrical…". Teri Lazar and Osman Kivrak are both members of the Sunrise Quartet and the National Gallery of Arts String Quartet. They both have Doctor Degrees from Catholic University of America. Currently they are faculty members at American University. Pianist Li-Ly Chang has performed in Asia, Europe and the US as a soloist & chamber musician. Her compositions have recently been premiered at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and the US State Department.

The concert is Saturday, Oct. 11th at 8 PM, at the Latvian Lutheran Church, 400 Hurley Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850.
