About the Teaching Artist Adele Schmidt
Adele Schmidt is the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Docs In Progress. She is an award-winning filmmaker known for music documentary series on progressive rock. She has extensive teaching experience. She is a professorial lecturer for film and video production at American University in Washington DC and she has served as a panelist for various arts and humanities organizations. Her expertise as a consultant has been instrumental in helping a multitude of non-fiction filmmakers achieve success in their projects. One of her key areas of focus is storytelling strategies and visual storytelling.
