Please join us to hear local poets and labor activists read poems about work at the Workers’ Poetry Fest. The speakers include Bomani Armah, Sarah Browning, Yolanda Gee, Angelique Palmer, Brenardo Taylor, and Raymond Nat Turner.
Work. It's just a four-letter word for some people or a life's calling for others. The world of work raises fundamental issues about our society, including workers' rights, income inequality, and the benefits and pitfalls of capitalism.
This free event is organized by DC LaborFest, which celebrates work, workers, and their issues through the arts. For more details, go to www.dclabor.org/dc-laborfest.
