The Olney Dragon

A Chinese dragon lies with a newt slithering over its proper right eye. Facing the dragon, and maintaining eye-contact, is a wizard sitting with an open book in his lap. The wizard has a long beard and moustache and wears a cap. The dragon appears to rest against a mound the back side of which is transformed into a series of three steps. The sculpture has a green/gray patina. The sculpture is installed on an oval concrete base stained light brown.
