From Pomegranates to Jelly Beans: Ancient Roots of Easter Food Traditions
Food writer Claudia Kousoulas will speak on spring food traditions that span across time and cultures. Eating local may be a current trend but historically, it was a matter of survival. For thousands of years, people have celebrated the earth's fertility with ritualized food traditions. This program will focus mostly on Greek Easter foodways. We'll explore spring's rebirth at the table with samples of Greek breads and enjoy happy hours drinks.
