Nourishing the creative potential of artists, partners, and colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives is an essential part of our work. We include interns as valued colleagues and are eager to provide them with opportunities that encourage their exploration and pursuit of careers in the arts.
College and graduate students interested in arts management careers are encouraged to apply for a Summer Internship at Strathmore from June 3 through August 16, 2024. Applications will be accepted until COB on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Strathmore has openings for Four (4) Interns (35 hours per week) for 11 weeks. Interns earn a stipend equal to minimum wage hourly ($15.65/hr.). Internships are available in various departments.
Ideal applicants are current juniors or seniors with at least two years of liberal arts, arts management, or arts-related study at the college level, but first or second-year college students will also be considered as space permits. Those currently enrolled in graduate programs and those who completed undergraduate studies within the past two years will be considered as well.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Applicants must demonstrate a sincere interest in the behind-the-scenes operation of an arts center. Access to a car and previous experience in customer service or arts administration is beneficial.
