The Director of Corporate Relations is an opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive strategy and vision to grow corporate support for the Kennedy Center, including the NSO and WNO. This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Giving, and will work collaboratively with other development management and staff, senior Kennedy Center staff, Board leadership and multiple artistic and education programmers to develop the vision for acquisition of new donors and activation opportunities for current donors. The Director will be responsible for planning and leading a comprehensive, multi-year development strategy engaging corporations and their affiliate foundations in support of Kennedy Center artistic and educational programs. The Director will coordinate with the VP of Institutional Giving to oversee the strategy for sponsorship proposals inclusive of program budgets, and the cultivation, activation, and engagement of new donors. They will oversee a $12-15 million portfolio of current and prospective donors, and will also oversee the relationship managers to steward current corporate funders inclusive of activation opportunities and positioning the organization for renewed support.

The Director manages their time, resources, and work load to maximize productivity and financial results; exercises discretion; evaluates complex internal and external relationships; and regularly takes initiative to advance fundraising objectives and goals. They supervise a staff of eight fundraising professionals: one Manager, four Assistant Managers and three Assistants, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively recruit and onboard new staff members; set expectations and goals for team projects; and successfully build trusting relationships with staff utilizing effective coaching techniques to ensure maximum productivity and completion of work goals.
