ArtStream is a nonprofit that provides performing arts opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area.
The Executive Administrator is a key position that reports directly to the Executive Artistic Director.
This is a hybrid position requiring some in-person meetings, workshops and attendance at ArtStream activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply the Organization’s vision, policies, and guiding principles to every facet of his/her/their responsibilities in an effort to continually improve our operations.
- Onboard new staff and teaching artists
- Coordinate CPR trainings for Teaching Artists (TA)
- Coordinate Teaching Artists (TA) background checks
- Send out Teaching Artists (TA) contracts
- Manage registration software
- Input and track class registrations
- Track class payments and refunds
- Create, maintain, and update contact sheets for Teaching Artists
- List job postings and assist with recruiting Teaching Artists (TA) and volunteers
- Coordinate Family and Teaching Artist Town Halls
- Send out partner contracts and collect information for partner invoices
- Locate and schedule spaces for classes and rehearsals
- Coordinate Scholarships
- Be familiar and update data in all digital platforms, including Constant Contact
- Check and respond to emails and answer phones
- Generate mailing lists
- Assist with donor Thank You’s
Education and/or Experience:
Must have completed an Associate’s Degree or higher. Must have previously demonstrated the ability to multi-task and work independently and remotely.
Will be required to become proficient in the use of various donor customer-relationship management (“CRM”) software systems and be experienced with digital tools.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to deal effectively with people within and outside of ArtStream
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of theater and nonprofits – a plus
- Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to set goals, priorities, and work with little supervision
Compensation:
Position compensation range is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour (plus health benefits, Paid Time Off [PTO] and Sick Leave).
