Overview

Baltimore Center Stage invites applications for the position of Grant Writer to join the development team. The Grant Writer reports to the Director of Advancement and works closely with the Associate Director of Advancement. This position supports all aspects related to identification, solicitation, benefit fulfillment, stewardship and reporting for corporate, foundation and government funders. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with a focus representing Baltimore Center Stage’s mission, vision, and programming clearly and impactfully.

Compensation
$675/week

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities, competencies and expectations outlined below are representative, not exhaustive. Responsibilities may shift as needed to best align with organizational needs.

  • Collaborate with Associate Director of Advancement to write and prepare funding proposals, grant applications, reports, and acknowledgement letters for corporate, foundation and government funders.
  • Edit departmental external documents, pledge forms, and information pamphlets.
  • Strategize and administer corporate benefit packages and their fulfillment, while also collaborating with the team to innovate current benefit structures.
  • Maintain application and reporting calendar, and report regularly on progress.
  • Coordinate and communicate with corporate sponsors, while providing administrative support for the Board’s corporate committee.
  • Research corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Stay up-to-date on local and national funding news, trends and opportunities.
